Mablethorpe South Beach is the quieter southern extension of Mablethorpe's main Blue Flag beach, away from the concentrated resort activity around the central promenade. Mablethorpe is a traditional seaside resort town with a sandy beach, promenade, beach huts, donkey rides, amusement facilities and a Splash Pool in Queens Park. The South Beach area provides more space and fewer crowds than the central promenade section, and connects south toward Trusthorpe and Sandilands via the beach or the Lincolnshire Coast Path.
A seasonal dog ban applies to the Central Mablethorpe beach from 1 May to 30 September under the East Lindsey PSPO, covering the stretch from The Dunes Complex, past the lifeboat station and up to the public toilets on Queen's Park. The North Beach, to the left of the central promenade, is dog friendly year-round. The South Beach section similarly offers dog friendly access away from the restricted central zone, and Trusthorpe to the south is entirely unrestricted. Dogs must be kept on leads on the promenade during the restriction season. This entry represents the southern end of Mablethorpe beach, which gives the best year-round dog walking experience of the beach sections here.
