A guide written by people who've walked the trail.
Wildpack is a UK directory of dog friendly walks, beaches and wild places, built for the owners who won't settle for somewhere their dog is tolerated.
It started with a bad recommendation.
A holiday cottage that said dog friendly. A walk we’d read was off lead. A beach that turned out to be on lead only from April. The gap between what dog friendly meant in a listing and what it meant in practice was the reason Wildpack exists.
We started writing things down. Which beaches actually let dogs roam. Which car parks fill by 9am. Which farm tracks need you on lead between April and July because of lambing. The notes became a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet became a map. The map became this.
Every location on Wildpack is hand researched and rated on how welcoming it actually is. The detail that matters to dog owners. The kind of information you’d get from a friend who’d already been.
Three rules we don't bend.
The non negotiables that shape every listing, every guide, every word on the site.
Because details matter.
We verify information from multiple sources, but welcome any and all feedback from people who have a genuine lived experience of the locations we publish.
Welcome, not tolerated.
If a place doesn't genuinely welcome dogs, it doesn't belong here. Water bowl on the floor isn't dog friendly. Somewhere you can actually relax is.
Core content stays free.
No paywall. No pay to list. The more people exploring confidently with their dogs, the better. That's the whole point.
I wanted a guide I actually trusted. One that told me where Bowie could be off lead, where to park, what to avoid. The kind of honest, useful detail you only get from someone who's done the walk.
