Croig Beach

Argyll and Bute

Dog Friendly Rating: 8/10 A remote Mull fishing harbour with small sandy coves accessible on foot, views to the Small Isles and Skye, and year-round unrestricted dog access on one of Mull's less-visited north coast walks.

Croig Beach is a small, charming beach adjacent to the historic fishing harbour of Croig on the north-west coast of Mull, reached by a single-track road from Dervaig. The harbour has just a handful of houses and an old stone fishing pier still worked by local fishermen. From the harbour, a 20-minute walk along a coastal track leads to several small sandy coves with views across to the islands of Coll, Tiree, Muck and Rum, with Skye visible beyond on clear days. The area is one of the most scenically dramatic on Mull's northern coast.

No dog restrictions apply at Croig Beach. Year-round dog access. The coastal track walk from the harbour to the coves provides an excellent dog walk with varied terrain and outstanding views. Parking at Croig is very limited with only a few spaces at the harbour.
