Kilmory Sands
Argyll and Bute
Kilmory Sands is a remote, quiet beach on the west coast of Loch Sween on the Knapdale peninsula, Argyll. The beach is sandy and sheltered, reached via a single-track road through forestry. The surrounding Knapdale landscape is dramatic and largely unpopulated, with the nearby Crinan Canal providing additional walking interest. Sea eagles have been reintroduced to Knapdale and may be spotted on a visit.
No dog restrictions apply. Year-round dog access. Very few visitors outside summer. No facilities at the beach.
