Culzean Bay Beach

South Ayrshire

Dog Friendly Rating: 8/10 A dramatic sandy bay below Robert Adam's Culzean Castle, with views of the castle above and dogs on leads welcome in this National Trust for Scotland country park year-round.

Culzean Bay Beach is a beautiful sandy beach below the spectacular Culzean Castle and Country Park, one of the National Trust for Scotland's most visited properties. Robert Adam's masterpiece of a clifftop castle towers above the shoreline, giving the beach one of the most dramatic backdrops in Scotland. The beach is backed by woodland and the estate grounds, and the coastal walk within the country park is outstanding.

Dogs are welcome on the beach and in most outdoor areas of Culzean Country Park, but must be kept on leads at all times within the estate. Entry to the country park car park requires NTS admission. The combination of castle, beach, formal gardens, walled garden and woodland walks makes this an exceptional day out for dog owners.
