Dunure Beach
South Ayrshire
Dunure Beach is a small shingle and sand beach at the picturesque fishing village of Dunure, dominated by the ruins of Dunure Castle perched on the cliff above the harbour. The village has an intimate, authentic character with a working harbour and the dog friendly Kennedy Arms pub just steps from the beach. The combination of castle ruins, harbour, beach and pub makes Dunure one of the most atmospheric small coastal villages in Ayrshire.
No dog restrictions apply at Dunure Beach. Year-round dog access. The small scale of the beach makes it easy to keep dogs in view, and the coastal path northward toward Culzean offers excellent additional walking.
