Donaghadee Beach

Donaghadee Beach is a sandy beach at the historic harbour town of Donaghadee, the nearest point in Ireland to Scotland (21 miles to Portpatrick). The town has a distinctive lighthouse, a fine harbour and some of Northern Ireland's best chippers. Grace Neill's Bar claims to be the oldest pub in Ireland, dating from 1611. The beach is sandy and popular with local families.
