Blackpool North Beach

Blackpool North Beach extends from the quieter end of the resort toward Bispham and Cleveleys, offering broad flat sands at low tide with a more relaxed atmosphere than the central seafront. The promenade runs the full length, providing a reliable walking surface when the tide is in, and the sand below opens into a wide, firm expanse when the water retreats. The views along the coast are open and expansive, and the further north you walk, the calmer and less resort-like the setting becomes.

The wide, firm sand at low tide provides outstanding space for off-lead running and play, and the water access is gentle with a gradual sandy entry. The promenade makes a good alternative or complementary route, allowing you to combine beach and paved walking depending on tide and conditions. The foreshore carries constantly changing scent interest — salt, seaweed, tidal debris — and the flat open character gives dogs genuine freedom to explore. Parking is available along the seafront. A solid choice for a less hectic Blackpool beach experience while staying within easy reach of town.
