Broughty Ferry Beach is a large sandy beach at the former fishing village of Broughty Ferry, now a prosperous Dundee suburb, overlooked by the impressive Broughty Castle. The beach faces south across the Tay Estuary and the views across to the Fife coast are excellent. The village has excellent cafes, pubs and restaurants along the esplanade. The beach has won awards for its cleanliness and is one of the most popular in the Dundee area.

A partial seasonal restriction applies: the western section of Broughty Ferry Beach near the castle is an animal exclusion zone from 1 May to 30 September. The eastern section of the beach is dog friendly year-round. Outside the restriction season the full beach is open to dogs.
