Cushendun Beach
County Antrim
Cushendun Beach is a beautiful sandy and pebble cove at the National Trust village of Cushendun, one of the most photographed villages in Ireland, with its distinctive white-painted Cornish-style cottages designed by Clough Williams-Ellis. The beach is sheltered and sandy, with the River Dun flowing across it to the sea. The sea caves just north of the beach were used as a filming location for Game of Thrones. The National Trust manages the village and much of the surrounding landscape.
No seasonal restrictions have been confirmed for Cushendun Beach. Year-round dog access. The National Trust village setting requires considerate behaviour. The sea caves to the north are accessible at low tide.
