Frequently Asked Questions
Muasdale Beach has no dog restrictions in place, making it a genuinely open and relaxed destination for dogs of all kinds. It's a quieter stretch of the west Kintyre coast, so you're unlikely to encounter the crowds you might find at busier beaches, which makes it a pleasant choice for a dog walk.
Yes, dogs are welcome at Muasdale Beach throughout the year with no seasonal restrictions. This makes it a reliable option whenever you're passing through or exploring the Kintyre peninsula.
Muasdale is a small village with very limited facilities, so it's worth arriving prepared — bring water for your dog and anything else you might need, as there's little in the way of shops or amenities nearby. Parking is roadside off the A83, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. On the plus side, the beach is sandy, relatively undeveloped, and offers lovely views west to Gigha and even Ireland on a clear day.
