Sandilands Beach
Lincolnshire
Sandilands Beach is a clean, picturesque and wide sandy beach on the Lincolnshire coast, part of the Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park and known for its colourful rows of traditional beach huts along the promenade. The beach is part of a National Trust property and is one of the more naturally managed stretches of the Lincolnshire coast, with the dune system and adjacent nature reserve supporting a variety of breeding birds, including short-eared owls, as well as coastal invertebrates. The Lincolnshire Coastal Country Park stretches five miles from here north to Chapel St Leonards, and the Coast Path connects to Mablethorpe to the north and Huttoft/Moggs Eye to the south.
Sandilands is listed as a dog friendly beach year-round, explicitly named in the East Lindsey PSPO dog-friendly beaches list. Dogs are permitted on the beach at all times. On the adjacent National Trust land, dogs must be kept on leads to protect ground-nesting birds, with water bowls provided at the site office. The beach itself is great for ball games and off-lead running. A car park sits directly at the beach (LN12 2RJ), making access very straightforward.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, Sandilands Beach is a great choice for dogs and earns a solid 8/10 on our dog-friendly rating. It's explicitly listed on the East Lindsey PSPO dog-friendly beaches list, meaning there are no restrictions on dogs on the beach itself — plenty of space for off-lead running and ball games on the wide sandy shore.
Yes, dogs are welcome at Sandilands Beach all year round with no seasonal restrictions. This makes it a reliable option whatever time of year you're planning a visit to the Lincolnshire coast.
The beach itself is off-lead friendly, but if you venture onto the adjacent National Trust land, dogs must be kept on leads to protect ground-nesting birds — which include species like short-eared owls. It's worth knowing that water bowls are provided at the National Trust site office, and parking is easy with a pay-and-display car park right at the beach (LN12 2RJ). On-site facilities are fairly limited, but Mablethorpe to the north has full amenities if you need them.
