Warkworth to Amble Coastal Path

The Warkworth to Amble coastal path follows the River Coquet as it opens out toward the North Sea, tracing a 4.8 km circuit from the medieval castle town to the harbour at Amble. The route runs along the river's north bank through dunes and rough grass before reaching the coast, where views open across to Coquet Island — an RSPB reserve home to the only breeding colony of roseate terns in England.
