Barmouth Bay

Barmouth, Gwynedd

Yes. Dogs are welcome at Barmouth Bay, up to 2 dogs per booking.

Barmouth Bay Holiday Park sits within Snowdonia National Park near Barmouth in Gwynedd, with direct access to a sandy beach where dogs are allowed and pet friendly stays in every grade of caravan and lodge.

Barmouth Bay's finest facility is the one nature provided: a superb sandy beach right on the doorstep, reached directly from the park, and dogs are allowed on it. The holiday park sits between a spectacular mountain range and the sea within Snowdonia National Park, which makes it a dog friendly base where the first walk of the day can start on the beach.

Away offer pet friendly stays in all grades of accommodation here, from Comfort, Superior, Luxury and Indulgent caravans to Comfort, Superior and Luxury lodges. The Exclusive Rooftop Lodge, unique to Barmouth Bay, sleeps up to eight, and some caravans and lodges come with a private hot tub. An Exclusive booking also brings your dog a goody bag of its own.

A day here is shaped by the beach, with miles of unbroken sand between the sea and the mountains that Away say never seems to get overcrowded. They also suggest dusting off your walking boots and taking the dog for some hill-conquering climbs. Back on park, dogs stay tethered at all times, owners pick up after them, and no dog is left in the accommodation unattended.

Off the park, Away mark a long list of places as dog friendly. Barmouth, with its Heritage Trail, and the Fairbourne Railway are each less than 10 minutes' drive, Harlech Castle is a 15-minute drive, and Shell Island and Coed y Brenin Forest Park, with its family walks, are dog friendly days out for you and the dog too.
