Sandy Balls

Fordingbridge, Hampshire

Yes. Dogs are welcome at Sandy Balls, up to 2 dogs per booking.

Sandy Balls Holiday Village is a woodland park of lodges, caravans and summer camping in the New Forest National Park near Fordingbridge, with dog walking areas and dogs welcome at Aubrey's Forest Kitchen and The Woodside Inn.

One hundred and twenty acres of woodland make up Sandy Balls Holiday Village, right in the heart of the New Forest National Park and bounded on its western edge by the River Avon. Dogs are made more than welcome, and the dog friendly lodges and caravans include Exclusive options, so the dog can enjoy a bit of luxury too.

Classic caravans run from Value to Indulgent and the lodges from Comfort to Luxury, and select lodges come with private hot tubs. Among the Exclusive stays, The Knightwood sleeps eight and comes complete with its own doggy shower. From 31 July to 28 August there are grass pitches for tents too, and it's ok to bring the dog along on your pitch.

Aubrey's Forest Kitchen and The Woodside Inn are both dog friendly and even have a doggy menu, so breakfast, artisan pizzas and gourmet pub food can all be shared occasions, and dogs are welcome in the Woodside Suite for the evening entertainment. On park there are Dog Exercise or Walking Areas, and from 4 April the Doggy Pawgramme brings activities and seasonal surprises planned around the dog. Sandy Balls keeps three golden rules for dogs: tethered at all times, poop always picked up, and never an unattended dog in the holiday home.

Beyond the park, Away list Fordingbridge, a market town on the banks of the River Avon, as dog friendly, along with Ringwood, Lyndhurst and Salisbury. Moors Valley Country Park, Bolderwood Deer Sanctuary, Beaulieu, Buckler's Hard, Lepe's Beach and Avon Beach all welcome dogs too.
