Woodland Lakes

Thirsk, North Yorkshire

Yes. Dogs are welcome at Woodland Lakes, up to 2 dogs per booking.

Woodland Lakes Lodges is a lakeside lodge park in the North Yorkshire countryside near Thirsk, with pet-friendly lodge options, hot tubs and green spaces for you, your family and your dog to explore.

Branch out with a woodland getaway, Away suggest, at Woodland Lakes Lodges in the heart of North Yorkshire, where you, your family and your pooch can get lost in the gorgeous green spaces. With over 130 lodges on site, from 2 berth to 8 berth, and pet-friendly options among them, Away call it the ideal place for a dog-friendly lodge holiday in Yorkshire.

The lodges run from the modern to the traditional, many featuring their own hot tub and decking, in a lakeside setting that Away say gives forest views. Beyond the lodge door there is an indoor pool, the Pamper Lounge Spa, bike hire, seasonal activities from Mini Archery to Body Zorbs, the Olive Tree Café for pizza, fish and chips and hot drinks, and an award-winning coarse fishery that is one of the biggest commercial fisheries in the UK, with all that green space for the dog in between.

Tucked into the Yorkshire countryside, the park makes a base for exploring some seriously lovely countryside with a dog. Between 20 and 45 minutes off, the Ripon Loop walk and Helmsley Walled Garden both take dogs, and the Crown & Anchor at Sowerby and the Old Oak Tree, a classic Yorkshire pub, welcome dogs between 10 and 20 minutes' drive.
