Two dogs and a family holiday by the sea: 4 Smugglers Cove is a light and airy stone cottage in the village of Beadnell, with the beach a short walk away. Six guests sleep here, and in this dog friendly cottage the dogs have an enclosed garden to come home to once the sand has been explored.
Through the garden gate and in at the front door, the open plan lounge and dining room offers two comfortable sofas, an easy chair and a large dining table for everyone to gather round. The film goes on after a day out exploring, the dogs settle in the lounge with the family, and the well equipped kitchen even runs to a coffee machine for the morning after.
On the ground floor a bunk room for the children has its own en suite WC, and up the stairs are two double bedrooms, one facing the front garden and one the rear, with the family bathroom alongside them. Outside, the enclosed garden has a raised patio with a table and chairs, a lovely spot for a coffee while the dogs nose about the garden. Games and books are there for quieter evenings, and the cottage is decorated for Christmas.
The village pub and restaurants are close by and the beach is within easy walking distance, so the first walk of the day needs no car, only two dogs waiting at the door. Seahouses is nearby, Bamburgh has its beautiful beach and castle, and boats run out to the Farne Islands. Cross the causeway to Holy Island of Lindisfarne, or give a day to Alnwick Castle and The Alnwick Gardens.
