Blue lias ledges, rock pools and one of the better fossil beaches in the country, which from a dog's point of view is an enormous quantity of rock to investigate at low tide. East Quantoxhead is seven tenths, Lilstock a mile and a half, and Watchet four and nine tenths. The Quantocks rise behind the village for the days you want height rather than shore.

The garden is enclosed and has a BBQ, and the owners note that it slopes, which is worth picturing with an older dog. They also keep a stairgate, a small thing that says dogs and small children are genuinely expected here rather than merely permitted.
