Bright, airy Applejack Cottage sits in a pretty village within Exmoor National Park, beautifully furnished with touches of colour inside and out, and five guests and one dog can stay. Walkers and cyclists have an awe inspiring landscape to explore from this dog friendly cottage, and at the end of each day the kitchen's French doors let everyone out into an enclosed courtyard garden.
The kitchen and diner is perfectly equipped, from an induction hob to a DeLonghi coffee machine and a wine cooler, with a large dining table for lazy breakfasts, and with the French doors open the dog drifts out into the courtyard while the coffee brews. A spacious hall leads to most rooms, including the bright, attractive lounge, a comfortable room to wind down in, Smart TV and all. All three bedrooms are upstairs, the king size with its own en suite.
The enclosed courtyard garden has outdoor furniture for dining alfresco after a fantastic day out, and that is where the evening settles, supper on the table and the dog at your feet. Come Christmas, the cottage is dressed up for the festivities.
Blue Anchor, 2.5 miles away, is a quintessential seaside village with a large beach and a stop on the historic West Somerset Railway, and Dunster, a medieval village under its towering National Trust castle, is close as well. Minehead, Watchet with its marina, and Porlock are all within reach, and the whole of Exmoor is there to explore with the dog.
