Beach House sits right on the coastal path in Bamburgh, a short walk from a beautiful beach with a long stretch of golden sand and a short stroll from the village, with the castle nearby. This Grade II listed cottage gives a family of six a spacious, comfortable dog friendly base, and it has a welcome for two dogs.
Tastefully furnished and warmed by its wood burner, the welcoming lounge is where everyone, dogs included, gathers after a day out. Beyond it, a stylish and traditional dining room has French doors to the rear garden, and the attractively designed kitchen is fully equipped for family meals.
Behind the cottage, the enclosed rear garden offers a lovely patio, seating, a charcoal BBQ and garden furniture, and there are wind breaks, body boards, buckets and spades to borrow, so the dogs head for the sand with the whole beach kit in tow. A double bedroom is downstairs, its neighbouring shower room fitted with a walk in shower, and on the first floor the large master has a king size bed and views of Bamburgh Castle, joined by a twin, complete with a toy box, and the family bathroom.
Close by are the RNLI Museum dedicated to the local heroine Grace Darling, St Aidan's Church, whose site dates back to 635, and a choice of excellent shops, tearooms, pubs and restaurants. The bird sanctuary at Budle Bay and Holy Island of Lindisfarne are nearby, Seahouses, Alnwick, Craster and Cragside make good days out, and there are superb walks for the dogs along the coast and through the country.
