Elsdon was the capital of Redesdale when Redesdale needed one, and what survives is a wide green, a pele tower and a castle mound over both. Beeswing Lodge sits out from the village inside Billsmoor Deer Park, dog friendly, sleeping four in two bedrooms with two dogs, and its enclosed garden has a gate in it onto the park. The two bedrooms are at opposite ends of the building, each with a picture window, a glazed door into the garden, and a bathroom holding a freestanding bath with a wet room shower apart from it.
