Beeswing Lodge stands on the vast acreage of the historic Billsmoor Deer Park, a designated SSSI in the Northumberland National Park, and fallow deer sometimes stroll right past its garden. Boutique in style and luxurious throughout, this dog friendly cottage sleeps four alongside two dogs, and walks and trails lead out from the doorstep with wildlife all around.
Named in honour of the great thoroughbred racehorse, the cottage blends rustic sophistication with real style. The bright open plan living space has two large picture windows over the garden and the deer park, three easy chairs and a Smart TV, with an induction hob set into a granite island and a circular granite dining table. A long utility room opens to the outside, so wet dogs can be brought in that way to dry off, with a welly rack for boots.
Outside, the large lawned garden faces south, with a stone patio and seating for a drink at sunrise or sunset to the sound of birdsong. To the side is an outdoor shower for paws and wellies, and indoors the house keeps a Paws on Floors policy, so the dogs are asked not to lie on beds or furnishings.
