Cobbles

Mundesley, Norfolk

A two bedroom cottage for four on Back Street at Mundesley, with a patio garden walled on every side, a ground floor bathroom and two dogs welcome.

Book now

The front door opens onto a village street and the garden behind has a stone wall on every side of it, which between them settle the two things a dog owner worries about in a village. Cobbles belongs to Back Street at Mundesley, dog friendly, two bedrooms taking four and two dogs allowed.

What the outside of the building suggests and what is behind it are two different propositions. Inside is one wide lounge and diner with exposed beams and room to get round a table, the kitchen across a hallway, and the bathroom on the same floor where a bath and a shower cubicle stand separately. A second WC sits at the top of the stairs. Two dogs cover the whole of that ground floor in one circuit and then choose a rug.

The garden is a patio holding a table and chairs, a corner bench and a barbecue, and the wall goes the whole way round with no gate onto the street anywhere in it. The owners say as much themselves in their own description of it. Wooden floors run through the building with rugs laid over them, which is the sensible order of things when two dogs come back off a beach.

Back Street runs behind the busier part of Mundesley, so the cottage keeps the village on one side of it and quiet on the other, and the sea is down at the bottom of it. North Walsham stands inland, a market town of handsome brick with enough shops in it to cover a week of forgetting things. Two dogs get a village at the door and a town ten minutes away.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Cobbles dog friendly?

Yes, Cobbles welcomes up to two dogs. It's well set up for them too — wooden floors with rugs throughout make returning from a beach or muddy walk straightforward, and the fully walled patio garden means there's no gate onto the street to worry about.

  • Are dogs allowed at Cobbles year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, but we'd recommend confirming directly with the owners when you book, particularly if you're planning a visit around busy periods.

  • What should I know before visiting Cobbles with my dog?

The garden is enclosed by a stone wall on every side with no gate opening onto the street, which makes it a secure space for dogs without needing to keep a constant eye on them. The ground floor is open plan and easy for dogs to move around, and with the sea at the bottom of Back Street, there's a beach within straightforward reach for a run.
