A single storey barn conversion for four at Kinnerton on the Welsh border, with an enclosed front garden, a beamed lounge with a wood burner and two dogs welcome.

Book now

Court Farm Cottage is a barn conversion in a rural retreat on the border between Wales and England, surrounded by beautiful countryside, with plenty of walks and cycle rides from the doorstep. Everything is on one level, the garden is enclosed, and two dogs are welcome, so this dog friendly cottage for four is an easy place to arrive with them.

The cottage has a drive of its own, opposite the owner's home, and you walk through the front garden to the door. Inside, the lounge and diner is a relaxing, light filled room with a beamed ceiling, comfortable seating and a cosy wood burner with the logs supplied, and the two dogs will have found the warm side of it within minutes.

Beyond is the well equipped kitchen, and a door from it leads to the handy boot room, which keeps the washing machine and has its own door outside, where walking boots and leads can be left after the hills. The king size room, the twin and the contemporary bathroom share one corridor. Out front, the enclosed garden is laid mostly to lawn, with a path running down the middle and a bistro table and chairs, and the dogs potter on the grass while the coffee is poured.

New Radnor and Old Radnor are both 2 miles away, each with a welcoming village pub, and Presteigne, with its shops, restaurants and town trail, is a little further. Two dogs can join Offa's Dyke for a longer day, and Hay-on-Wye, Hereford, Ludlow and the Brecon Beacons are all within reach.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Court Farm Cottage Kinnerton dog friendly?

Yes, Court Farm Cottage welcomes up to two dogs. The single-storey layout makes it particularly practical for dogs — there are no stairs anywhere in the building, and a boot room between the kitchen and the back door means muddy paws get sorted before anyone reaches the sofa.

  • Are dogs allowed at Court Farm Cottage Kinnerton year round?

The listing doesn't specify seasonal restrictions, so it's worth contacting the owner directly to confirm availability for your dates. Given the cottage's setup — enclosed front garden, boot room, and easy access to year-round moorland walking — it appears designed with dogs very much in mind throughout the year.

  • What should I know before visiting Court Farm Cottage Kinnerton with my dog?

The cottage takes a maximum of two dogs, so it's not suitable for larger groups of pets. The enclosed front lawn is a good spot to let dogs decompress on arrival, and the Radnor Forest moorland nearby — including the waterfall gorge at Water-break-its-neck — offers excellent off-lead walking with open hill and shaded paths.
