Book now

Green fields surround the equine farm in the village of Carisbrooke where Dairy Cottage enjoys its quiet spot, a four star, dog friendly cottage for six with a garden behind it that is fully enclosed. The booking includes two dogs, with a third possible on enquiry.

The lounge is elegant and spacious, with two inviting sofas gathered around a fireplace that houses a warming wood burner, whose glow the dogs will seek out after a day of sightseeing. The kitchen pairs a farmhouse dining table with contemporary fittings. A ground floor twin, with a shower room next door, leads through to the conservatory, a second lounge looking over the garden, while wooden stairs rise from the lounge to a king size room and a further twin, both with countryside views and the king offering glimpses of Carisbrooke Castle.

To the rear, the delightful garden is fully enclosed, with a lawned area, a patio seating area, garden furniture and a BBQ, and plenty of space for children to play and for two dogs to roll on the grass. The cottage belongs to Visit England's families, walkers, cyclists and pets welcome schemes.

Carisbrooke's impressive castle has its Norman walls and keep, the Princess Beatrice Gardens, a tranquil chapel and the resident donkeys. From the middle of the island every coastline is easily reached, with beaches at Sandown, Ventnor, Freshwater and Ryde, and to the north the sailing town of Cowes and Osborne House make a relaxing day trip. Walkers and cyclists have a fine base here, and so do their dogs.
