This delightful dog friendly cottage is close to the golf course too, and the village has a convenience store and three good pub restaurants.
Inside, the lounge and dining area share one bright, airy open plan room, with comfortable seating that includes two easy chairs, an internet TV and a generous dining table for family meals. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, while the spacious shower room has a lovely walk in shower. When the dogs come in from the beach, this is where everyone gathers to plan the next outing.
Two steps lead up to the bedrooms: a pretty double with plenty of natural light from its window and skylight, and a twin with a skylight of its own, both fitted with blackout blinds for a restful night. At the rear, a shared path and four steps lead to the enclosed garden and its raised patio, where outdoor furniture waits for morning coffee in the fresh coastal air with the dogs lying close by.
The dogs can walk past the magnificent ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle on the way to Low Newton by the Sea, where there is a beachside pub for lunch. Craster harbour is known for its seafood, Howick Hall was Earl Grey's ancestral home, and the beautiful beaches at Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh are all within reach, and Alnwick Castle and Gardens make another day out.
