Ten eat together here or not at all. A range cooker and a five ring hob face a breakfast island with stools for whoever is up first, and the dining room off the kitchen seats the whole party at one table with the garden in view. Two dogs work that end of the house hard for the obvious reason, and neither is ever left alone in a room.
Afterwards the lounge takes everybody, two sofas and two armchairs turned towards a burner with its opening basket of logs already stacked, and outside a private tub takes whoever wants to sit in hot water in the dark.
