Fuchsias is a five star dog friendly home at Westward Ho! on Devon's Atlantic coast, with distant ocean views across Bideford Bay to Lundy and a large balcony for a glass of something after a long day out. Two dogs are welcome, and the beach is within walking distance, so the first outing of the morning starts at the front door.
Inside, the layout is reverse level. All three bedrooms are on the ground floor, each with a TV of its own: two spacious king size rooms with en suite shower rooms, a restful twin, and a main bathroom with a bath. To the rear of the property a great sized enclosed garden gives the two dogs room to stretch their legs, and it holds a table, chairs and a charcoal BBQ.
Upstairs, the lounge, kitchen and diner make one spacious, tastefully decorated room, with comfortable sofas arranged round a cosy wood burner behind its fireguard and a half wall dividing the sitting area from the table and its rattan seating. The balcony, with garden furniture, is an easy step from the kitchen for drinks in the sunshine. Down in the garden the luxurious hot tub is ready when the day is done, and the dogs can doze close by while you soak.
Westward Ho! has a two mile wide sandy beach with a surf academy on the beach front, and the Royal North Devon Golf Club next door opens its bar and restaurant to guests. Northam Burrows Country Park offers dune walks behind the sand, coastal walks begin on the doorstep and the Tarka Trail is a short drive away, so a dog here never runs short of new ground.
