Gulls Landing looks out on a constantly changing vista of sea and sky, along the coastline and across to Wales. This beautifully furnished dog friendly lodge is peacefully tucked away on a family run holiday park, under a mile from both beach and coast path, and one dog is welcome.
Indoors, those far reaching views fill a bright open plan space where everyone cooks, eats and unwinds, with a Smart TV for snug evenings, a wine cooler and a coffee machine. After a long day on the shore, the dog will happily curl up while supper and a bottle of wine come together. The two doubles sit at opposite ends of the lodge, both looking to the sea and both en suite.
Outside, enclosed decking wraps around three sides of the lodge. There is a front deck with a love seat, a walkway along one side, and a large deck at the back with far reaching sea views, a big wooden table with bench seats and a rattan seating set. Steps lead down into the enclosed garden, a great space for children and dogs to play in. On site there is an indoor heated swimming pool, which guests can book for a private half hour each day.
The beach is good for fossil hunting and wild swimming, and the park backs onto the protected Quantock Hills, whose endless walking opportunities a dog will gladly test. Watchet and its marina are 3 miles along the coast, Dunster has its National Trust castle towering above it, and the attractive village of Porlock and Porlock Weir lie a little further on.
