Jess's Hideaway is a beautifully decorated ground floor apartment in the heart of Seahouses, a welcoming dog friendly hideaway that takes four people and two dogs, with harbour, beach and village shops all a short walk away. Outside is a lovely, fully enclosed garden, which the dogs will have claimed by the first morning.
There is space to store outdoor clothing as you come in, and the open plan living area is bright and full of light, with comfy seats facing the Smart TV and an LED lit, wood burner effect electric fire that gives the room a cosy glow, so the dogs soon settle in front of it after the beach. The stylish, very well equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar and seating area, right down to a steam cooker and a Ninja air fryer.
The master king size has ample storage and a Smart TV, and the bunk room, a double with a single over, has its own TV and French doors out to the garden, while the bathroom has a shower over a corner bath. Outside, the raised, covered deck has comfortable seating and a dining area for meals in the fresh air, and the charming pergola area with its chimenea is the place for lazy evenings stargazing round the fire while the dogs doze nearby.
From the harbour, boat trips run out to the Farne Islands to see puffins, seals and other wildlife. This is the Northumberland Heritage Coast, with award winning sandy beaches and coastal paths to walk with the dogs, a round of seaside golf on the local course, and a traditional fishing village of quaint shops, fish and chips, amusements and friendly pubs.
