Book now

Keats House stands near the cliff top in the beautiful coastal town of Shanklin, a short walk from a glorious golden sandy beach and the old village. Eight people and two dogs have room to spread out in this spacious, dog friendly family home, with a large garden and lovely views.

The light, airy lounge has comfy seats facing a Smart TV, and it opens to a charming dining area set in a large bay window. Next to the stylish kitchen, a separate breakfast room with a TV and a PlayStation has French doors onto the terrace, and the dogs will soon be out there watching breakfast happen. A ground floor WC completes this level.

An annexe with separate access holds a ground floor double with an en suite shower room. In the main house, three more bedrooms are upstairs: a double with sea views, a TV and its own shower room, then two twins, one also with sea views. They share a bathroom where a separate shower cubicle stands alongside the bath. Behind the house, the spacious fenced and gated garden has a lovely lawn for the dogs, a raised deck for meals outdoors, and a pretty summerhouse holding garden furniture and an assortment of games.

Shanklin is famous for its long, golden sandy beach, curving into a delightful bay, and for the historic Old Town, with its thatched cottages, tearooms and the beautiful chine. A lift runs from the cliff top down to the esplanade and its crazy golf, there are shops, cafes and restaurants in the village and on the seafront, and the town has excellent access to the other beaches along the coast, plenty to fill the hours between walks with the dogs.
