Segurinside, Conwy
A beautifully restored 16th century stone cottage for four near Conwy, with views over the Conwy Valley, a log burning fire, a fully enclosed garden and two dogs welcome.
Set against the limestone cliff of a historic quarry used in building the Menai Bridge, Pabo Bach is a beautifully restored 16th century stone cottage with incredible views over the Conwy Valley and Snowdonia National Park. Renovated with love for 2023, this dog friendly cottage blends quirky period features with stylish design. Two dogs come with the four guests it sleeps, and further dogs may be considered on request. The welcome pack even includes dog treats.
Patio doors at the rear open into a stylish galley kitchen with high ceilings, a large skylight and a traditional quarry stone floor, with room in the hallway for coats and muddy boots. From the kitchen you can admire a stained glass window of the Conwy Valley, hand painted by a previous owner. Dinner is served at the front with panoramic views, the suntrap conservatory suits morning coffee or Monopoly, and in the evening the homely living room gathers everyone, dogs included, round the log burning fire under traditional beams. Upstairs, a stone wall follows the stairway to the king-size bedroom and its en suite, while the twin room has handmade timber storage.
The fully enclosed garden at the rear is a lovely place for children and dogs to play, with the obelisk and the old quarry cliff on one side and the mountains and valley on the other. There is a large patio with an outside dining table, a charcoal BBQ, a firepit and a lawn with a hanging egg chair.
Conwy and Llandudno sit at equal distance, one with its medieval castle and fishing harbour, the other with the longest pier in Wales, two beaches and the Great Orme to climb with the dogs.

Book with holidaycottages.co.ukFrequently Asked Questions
Is Pabo Bach dog friendly?
Yes, Pabo Bach welcomes up to two dogs. The cottage has an enclosed garden where dogs can roam safely, and with the Conwy Valley on the doorstep and three beaches within about 3 miles, there's plenty to keep them happy.
Are dogs allowed at Pabo Bach year round?
The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, so it's worth getting in touch with the owners directly to confirm availability for your dates. Given the wood burner and the enclosed garden, it's set up well for dogs in any season.
What should I know before visiting Pabo Bach with my dog?
Up to two dogs are welcome, and the enclosed garden means they can be out safely without you having to watch the gate. The wood burner is a practical bonus — dogs coming back wet from the valley or the beach will dry out quickly in the sitting room. The Little Orme headland nearby is flagged as a particularly good outing for dogs, a step up from the promenades at Rhos-on-Sea and Colwyn Bay.
