Indoors, the open plan living room is built around an impressive exposed stone wall and a wood burner that keeps the room warm and cosy, the obvious place for two dogs to settle after a walk. Past the dining area the kitchen has a lighter, airier feel, with a butler's sink and a utility area alongside. The double bedroom, with a TV of its own, and the shower room are both on the ground floor, and the twin bedroom is above.
The enclosed garden outside has a patio set with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, as well as a separate lawn. Supper goes out onto the patio, the dogs lie close by, and the countryside around the barn keeps the evening quiet. It is an ideal place to relax and unwind.
Padstow has rightly earned its name for food, with Rick Stein's restaurants, deli and fish and chips, alongside the National Lobster Hatchery and a boat trip across the estuary to Rock and its pretty beach.
