Pebbleridge Beach House

Westward Ho, Devon

A five star three bedroom house at Westward Ho with an enclosed garden, two dogs welcome, and the beach and the village both walkable.

Five star graded and a mile from the sand, Pebbleridge Beach House has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and an enclosed garden with a patio. Two dogs, six people, and everything the village offers close enough to walk to.

Westward Ho beach lies a mile and a bit away, with the pebble ridge that gives this house its name banked behind it and Northam Burrows behind that. The Burrows are the better walk for a dog: flat common land and dune, open all year, and big enough that a fit dog can run itself out on it. Four and a half miles brings the Tarka Trail and four and nine tenths Saunton Sands, which we score a nine.

Being able to walk to the beach, the shops and the pubs is what separates this from the Westward Ho houses set further back. Two dogs, an enclosed garden to come home to, and a three o'clock arrival that gets everybody out on the sand on the first afternoon rather than the following morning.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Pebbleridge Beach House dog friendly?

Yes — Pebbleridge Beach House welcomes up to two dogs. The house has an enclosed garden with a patio, which makes it easy to let dogs out without worry, and the beach and village are both within walking distance from the door.

  • Are dogs allowed at Pebbleridge Beach House year round?

The listing doesn't specify seasonal restrictions on dogs at the property itself. Northam Burrows, one of the best nearby walks for dogs, is open all year — it's flat common land and dune with plenty of room for a dog to stretch its legs properly.

  • What should I know before visiting Pebbleridge Beach House with my dog?

The house takes a maximum of two dogs, and the enclosed garden means you have a safe space to come home to after walks. Northam Burrows is the standout dog walk in the area — open common land behind Westward Ho beach where dogs can really run. The 3pm arrival time is a nice practical detail: it gets you and your dog out on the sand on the first afternoon rather than having to wait until the next day.
