From the balcony at Pebbleridge Beach House, you look over the pretty cricket ground to Westward Ho!'s beach, Northam Burrows and the ocean beyond. This superbly presented dog friendly house is in the heart of the seaside town, and the living rooms are upstairs, arranged in reverse so the outlook gets the best of the house. Two dogs are welcome, and the front garden is enclosed and private, with a hot tub of its own.
Downstairs, three bedrooms are furnished with comfort and style in mind. There is a super king, a king size room that has its own TV, an en suite shower room and French doors onto the garden, and a bunk bedroom, plus a contemporary bathroom. Up the stairs, the impressive lounge, kitchen and diner is where the day gathers, with a contemporary kitchen, a large dining table, a Smart TV, Bluetooth speakers and the balcony door. Two dogs back from the beach will be asleep before the dishwasher is loaded.
Out at the front, a patio, outdoor seating and the private hot tub fill the enclosed garden. Come back from the shore, let the dogs flop down on the patio, and ease into the hot water as the evening comes on. It is a house with plenty of seaside charm.
It is a short stroll for the dogs down to the beach, and the South West Coast Path is easy to reach for superb coastal scenery. Golfing enthusiasts can walk to the Royal North Devon club, the town has independent shops, restaurants and pubs, and on a calm day a boat trip from Bideford to Lundy brings puffins and seals.
