Purbeck View is a characterful 18th century cottage at the end of a terrace in Kingston, and from its hilltop position the views run out over the surrounding countryside to Corfe Castle. It sleeps eight with two dogs welcome, and the garden of this dog friendly cottage wraps around the whole house, with ample space, as the owners put it, for the dogs and children to let off some steam.

Inside, the cottage moves between many levels, rich in original character. A charming flagstone hallway leads to the lounge, with a decorative wood burner, a TV and the first of the panoramic views, and the two dogs will be at the window before the bags are in. Further along the hall come the galley kitchen and a characterful dining room, its decorative fireplace a beauty. Below, a double has its own door into the garden, and lower again the converted outbuildings hold a characterful bunk room looking toward Corfe Castle.

Up top, a pretty twin may catch a glimpse of a passing steam train, and the double has a window seat and a feature fire. Outside, two terraces wait for leisurely meals, BBQs and drinks, a traditional ha-ha runs along the bottom of the garden, and countryside views follow you all the way round.
