Rafters is a beautifully finished dog friendly cottage near Beadnell, contemporary yet traditional, and one of a selection of stone built holiday cottages in a hamlet just minutes from the Northumberland coast. It is large, light and airy, sleeps six and welcomes two dogs, with the beaches at Low Newton and Beadnell Bay under ten minutes' drive away.
The entrance hall is made for this coast, with room to drop coats, wellies and dog leads before anyone heads on to the kitchen and dining area. The kitchen has exposed beams and a farmhouse feel with cream units, and the table seats all six. The lounge is light and spacious, with comfortable seating, Netflix and a feature fireplace with a gas wood burner style fire, which is where both dogs gravitate in the evening. Up the stairs, the master bedroom has high ceilings and exposed beams, with two twin rooms and the bathroom alongside.
Outside, the pretty enclosed garden has a lawn and a patio, a BBQ, a set of children's swings and a lockable shed. Bikes and surf boards are there to borrow during your stay, so a day can start on two wheels and end on a board with the dogs charging along the sand, and there are games, books and films for the evenings after.
