Ridgeway Log Cabin is a striking and spacious Scandinavian style lodge in the pretty North Dorset village of Child Okeford, set in a tranquil spot with fabulous dark skies. It sleeps three with two dogs, and the best of it for a dog friendly break lies out of the back door, in a fully enclosed private garden that the owners call your own enclosed haven.
A covered veranda with bench seating greets you at the front, a good spot for boots off and a dog towelled down. Step inside and the lounge, with its Smart TV, opens straight on to a spacious kitchen and diner in one open plan room. The inviting double sits next to a cosy single, with a stylish shower room just opposite.
From the rear door a pretty covered deck leads across a lawn to an inviting patio with a picnic bench, and an extra fridge by the back door keeps the drinks close to the garden. Evenings here belong outside: supper at the picnic bench, two dogs exploring the lawn, and once it is dark, a sky full of stars over the lodge. At Christmas the lodge is decorated too.
