Sandy Bottom is an exquisite seaside retreat, sleeping a couple with two dogs, a short distance from beautiful Beadnell Bay, with beach strolls from the doorstep and coastal paths to walk and cycle. This dog friendly cottage comes with a pristine, fully enclosed private garden, and the village has two pub restaurants, a general store and a cafe bistro.
Through the garden gate and up a step, the front entrance opens into a conservatory, the place to leave outdoor gear before the stylish interior. It has comfortable corner seating for morning coffee overlooking the garden, and the two dogs can watch the garden from it while the coffee brews.
The open plan living area holds a Smart TV with Netflix, a table with four stools and a well equipped kitchen, plus a corner bed settee for one or two additional children. The attractive dual aspect king size bedroom has a single trundle that pulls out for a third, and there is a shower room. Outside, the garden has several seating areas, with cushioned dining furniture, a picnic bench and garden chairs, so supper, a drink at dusk and the two dogs' evening wander all happen in the open air.
Beadnell Bay is a favourite for rock pooling, kitesurfing, paddleboarding and windsurfing, and the dogs will want a beach stroll every morning. The coastal path leads to Seahouses for boat trips to see puffins and seals on the Farne Islands, Bamburgh's beach and castle are within easy reach, and Dunstanburgh Castle, Embleton Beach and Low Newton with its beachside pub are there for longer walks, with Alnwick Castle inland.
