Book now

Seahaze Villa is an elegant dog friendly Victorian villa on elevated ground in Ventnor, with wonderful sea views and a veranda to watch them from. Seven people and two dogs share three floors, close to the promenade and a short walk from the sandy beach.

The front door opens from the veranda onto the first floor, where the open plan living area, furnished in a country style, is a particularly light room with far reaching sea views and French doors back out to the veranda. Evening meals out there come with sailing boats passing by and the dogs flat out beside the table. A kitchen, a breakfast area and a bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath complete this floor.

The second floor belongs to a twin and a large master, with a double bed, an elegant seating area and a Victorian feature fireplace, both looking out to sea. The ground floor has everything a second family needs, which makes the villa ideal for two families to share: a third bedroom with sea views and its own en suite, a second living area with a TV and seating, and a second kitchen with a breakfast area, where French doors open onto a courtyard, its garden table and chairs ready for an unhurried breakfast coffee while both dogs snooze underneath. At the front of the villa is a walled garden with high hedges and two areas of lawn and shrubbery, with a real Mediterranean feel.

The coastal path leads the dogs down to the pretty village of Bonchurch and onwards to Shanklin, and walking westward takes them through Ventnor to some delightful coves and the Ventnor Botanic Garden. Swimming, paddling and boating start from the beach.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is Seahaze Villa dog friendly?

Yes, Seahaze Villa welcomes up to two dogs. There's a walled garden at the front with high hedges and two small lawns where dogs can roam freely, and the location gives easy access to the beach, Ventnor promenade and the quiet cove at Steephill without needing to move the car.

  • Are dogs allowed at Seahaze Villa year round?

The listing doesn't specify any seasonal restrictions on dogs, but we'd recommend checking directly with the owner to confirm availability and any conditions around your dates before booking.

  • What should I know before visiting Seahaze Villa with my dog?

The villa is spread across three floors, so your dogs will need to be comfortable on stairs. The walled front garden is the safe off-lead space — the courtyard at the back is narrow and unfenced, so that's not suitable for letting dogs loose. A maximum of two dogs are permitted.
