Seahorse Cottage is a delightful detached cottage on the Northumberland coastline, in the Northumberland Coast AONB, with splendid views of the sea and a wonderful sandy bay. As a dog friendly home it welcomes four people and two dogs, and the splendid sandy beach about a mile away makes a fine first walk of the day.
Inside, the interior has a delightful nautical style. An electric wood burner effect fire and a Smart TV take care of evenings in, and the kitchen has an electric oven and hob, a microwave and a dishwasher. The utility room, with washing machine, tumble dryer and a second WC, is handy when the dogs come back sandy. Best of all are the sea views from the cottage, a lovely thing to sit back with after a day out while the dogs settle close by.
Outside, the enclosed garden is a wonderful space for BBQs in the fresh air, with a charcoal BBQ and seating areas, and the dogs have room to explore while supper cooks. A double and a twin make up the bedrooms, sharing a shower room.
Boulmer, less than a mile away, is a quaint historic fishing village where the blue cobles still go out for crab, lobster and sea salmon, and its pub serves hearty meals daily. The Northumberland Coast Path and the 200 mile Coast and Castles Cycle Route both pass through, and Alnmouth is 4 miles away, with Howick Hall Gardens and Arboretum, Warkworth Castle, Craster and Dunstanburgh Castle all within easy reach, with good walking for the dogs at each.
