Station Cottage sits in the heart of Seahouses, with the beach, the harbour and the village restaurants, pubs and shops all nearby, and it makes a spacious, well appointed dog friendly base for five. Two dogs are welcome, and behind the cottage a large, fully enclosed lawned garden gives them room to unwind after a morning on the coast path.
There are two lounges to choose between. The first is bright and welcoming, with plenty of comfy seating, a TV and a flame effect fire, and the dogs will soon find the spot nearest the fire. The second is part of an open plan lounge and diner, stocked with books, games, films and consoles, and its dining area has a wood burner effect heater for a meal in style.
The garage is where the competition happens, with a pool table, air hockey, darts and table tennis, and room to store bikes, surf gear and golf clubs as well. Out in the garden there is a bench style seat and a patio table and chairs, so somebody can sit with the dogs on the lawn while the next frame is racked up. Upstairs, the three bedrooms, king size, twin and single, all have plenty of storage, with a large P shaped bath in the bathroom.
The coastal path leads to Bamburgh, with its magnificent castle, its glorious beach and the RNLI Grace Darling Museum, and it will also take you to Beadnell and its famous bay, both lovely walks to share with the dogs. Dunstanburgh, Alnwick Castle and Garden, Holy Island and Cragside are all within reach.
