Stonelea is a luxury five star detached holiday home a short walk from Westward Ho!, fitted and furnished to a delightful standard, and a dog friendly base for six people and two dogs. The beach is within walking distance, and behind the house a sunny, landscaped, south facing garden is enclosed, and it is where the dogs can unwind after the beach.
That garden has an outdoor dining table and chairs, separate seating for lounging and a gas barbecue, and a lockable beach hut stands in it, holding bikes, surf boards, golf clubs and beach toys. Back from the shore, the dogs sprawl in the sun while the barbecue gets going.
Inside, the house is laid out reverse level. The three stylish bedrooms are on the lower floor: a super king and a king, both with en suite showers and bi folding doors opening onto the rear garden, plus a zip and link twin with a PlayStation 4. All have Smart TVs, and a contemporary family bathroom and a utility room complete that floor. Above them, the open plan living space has bi fold doors onto the balcony, a wood burner, a large Smart TV and a well equipped kitchen. Westward Ho! is 0.5 miles away, known for its beautiful beach and its unique pebble ridge, which joins Northam Burrows Country Park, and for restaurants, bars, cafes and a Hockings ice cream for the walk back. Golfers have direct access to the Royal North Devon Golf Club, Appledore is nearby, the ferry runs to Lundy island, and the wilds of Exmoor National Park make a wilder outing for the dogs.
