Tapestry Cottage is a delightful, traditional detached stone cottage in the quiet Northumberland village of Harbottle, with spectacular views across open countryside and numerous walks straight from the property. Six guests can stay with two dogs at this dog friendly hideaway, and the swifts that dart over the house are only part of the wildlife on show.
The comfortable lounge combines traditional character with modern touches, with a wood burner, two bags of logs and some kindling provided, a TV and DVD player, and games, books and dressing up clothes for the children. The dogs will gravitate to the fire after a day's walking. The kitchen, with its electric range, has everything for holiday feasts, and the dining room suits group meals, its patio doors open to the fresh air. A separate WC and a utility area complete the ground floor.

Rothbury is nearby for local eateries and independent shops, and Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh with its beaches and castle, and Holy Island are all within easy reach. Closer to home, a pub within walking distance makes a fine end to a walk with the dogs, and there is bicycle storage for exploring on two wheels.
