The Archers Cottage is a spacious dog friendly cottage in the country village of Longhoughton, sleeping five people and two dogs, and made with a multi generation family in mind. Two renowned cafes and a pub are on the doorstep, and the quiet beach at Sugar Sands is 1.5 miles away, near enough that the dogs can walk there or ride in the car.
A garden gate leads to the front door. The lounge is full of cottage character, with wooden flooring, a feature stone wall, two large and comfortable settees, a Smart TV over the fireplace and a warming wood burner, which is where both dogs will be found once the day's exploring is over. The kitchen and diner, light and airy, sits just off it, and the utility beside has plenty of storage for outdoor clothing and walking boots.
On the far side of the living space, a ground floor bedroom with zip and link twin beds has a garden view and a feature fireplace. Alnwick is 4.5 miles away for its castle, the Alnwick Garden, independent shops, galleries and a well known second hand bookstore. Howick Hall and Gardens is close by, and Craster Harbour marks the start of the coastal walk to Dunstanburgh Castle, a grand outing for the dogs along the Northumberland coastline.
