The Barn at Elms Farm is a luxurious detached barn conversion at Biddisham, finished with exceptional attention to detail, and it sleeps eight with three dogs welcome. All four bedrooms are on the ground floor, the master opening straight onto the garden through French doors, and that large, enclosed, secluded garden, with its lawn, patio and undercover hot tub, makes this a dog friendly stay as good outside as in.

The living floor is upstairs, where a fantastically appointed sweep of kitchen, dining table and lounge enjoys far reaching countryside views of Crook Peak and doors onto a balcony with seating. Downstairs, the spacious hall leads to the games room, where the pool table waits, and to a snug lounge whose French doors are the quickest way for three dogs to reach the lawn. Every bedroom is beautifully decorated, three have en suite shower rooms, and bathrobes and slippers are provided.

At nine at night the hot tub is bubbling under its cover beneath star filled skies, a rally of table tennis abandoned on the patio, three dogs sprawled on the grass after a long walk, and the pool table still in use indoors.

Crook Peak, the western edge of the Mendip Hills, can be seen from the barn and is a must for keen walkers and their dogs, and the Strawberry Line cycle route is 3 miles away. Axbridge and Cheddar are close, Wells and Glastonbury a little further, and Burnham-on-Sea, 6.5 miles off, has golden sand and family entertainment.
