The Farrier's Cottage is a detached, stone built cottage in Amble, lovingly refurbished, a few metres from the award winning High Street, with its independent shops and cafes. This dog friendly retreat sleeps four with two dogs, and you can walk to the beach, the harbour and the seafront.
Coat hooks wait in the hallway, and the spacious lounge is a cosy place to unwind, with an electric wood burner style fire set into the stone fireplace and a Smart TV. The contemporary kitchen is well equipped, with a bespoke dining table and bench seating, and off it the utility and boot room, with its washer dryer, is ideal for drying off the dogs when you come back from the beach. A door from there leads out to the patio and hot tub.
Outside to the rear, an enclosed patio laid with artificial grass has garden furniture for drinks and dining in the open air, and three stone steps lead to a second enclosed patio area with the hot tub, the dogs keeping you company as the bubbles start. A family bathroom with a shower over its freestanding bath is downstairs, and upstairs a generous king size bedroom, bathrobes provided, and a spacious twin both have plenty of storage.
Wander down to Little Shore beach for a stroll round the pier with the dogs and watch the fishing boats bring in the daily catch. The harbour, less than half a mile away, has seafood eateries, artisan ice cream and craft pods, with a market every Sunday, and a walk along the River Coquet leads to Warkworth and its medieval castle, hermitage and sandy beach. Alnmouth, 5.9 miles away, has another beach on the river estuary.
