A long tree-lined drive winds through the Broadfield Estate to The Garden House, peacefully tucked away in the heart of 22 acres of established grounds. Once the gardener's cottage, it has been beautifully restored with stylish interiors throughout. This dog friendly house sleeps six, welcomes two dogs, and has a wealth of National Trust properties and gardens around it.
A welcoming hall leads to the lounge, where comfortable seating gathers by the wood burner and a digital TV with apps, and before long both dogs are stretched out by the fire. The kitchen is cool, contemporary and well-equipped for every meal. Also downstairs, a zip and link super-king bed converts to twins, a shower room serves this level, and upstairs are two comfortable king-size rooms and a second shower room.
From the lounge, patio doors lead out to the enclosed garden at the rear, where the patio is set for dining alfresco and leads on to the lawn, a tranquil space for kicking back while the dogs explore. Over Christmas and New Year there is a hot tub to enjoy as well, and it can be booked for other stays.
Leominster, 7.5 miles away, is a market town known for its antique and curiosity shops and its Folk Museum, and the cathedral city of Hereford sits on the banks of the Wye. Ludlow, just over the border in Shropshire, has its medieval castle and a farmers' market bursting with local produce, and for an outing with the dogs, Berrington Hall, Brockhampton Estate and Croft Castle are all within easy reach.
