The Rising Sun Cottage is a traditional stone cottage with a contemporary twist, set within its own grounds in a secluded spot in the peaceful village of Broadwell, deep in the Forest of Dean. Up to six guests can stay alongside two dogs, and this dog friendly family base has ancient forest, lakes and trails all around.

The front door opens into the cosy lounge, where an open fire invites board games and a chapter of a good book while the dogs warm through. Behind it lies a lovely, fully open plan space: a well equipped kitchen, a contemporary dining area where six can sit down together, and a seating area with a large corner settee and TV, all bright with light from the French doors to the enclosed rear garden. A king size bedroom on the ground floor looks across the front gardens, and a stylish walk-in shower room completes this floor.

Upstairs are a super king, a twin reached through the cosy snug, and a family bathroom with views out over the Welsh mountains.
