Trengilly Vean is a rural cottage on a working farm near Constantine, all on one level, with spectacular views across the countryside and five dogs welcome. As a dog friendly base for South Cornwall it starts well indoors: the owners describe the lounge as a large family space, with plenty of room for little ones to play and for dogs to roam or sleep.

That lounge has comfortable sofas, a TV and a multifuel stove, and its double aspect windows give far reaching panoramas across the countryside to the village church. Through the kitchen, where six can sit down at the dining table, is a light, airy conservatory with a Smart TV, views across the rolling hills and a door to the patio, which the dogs will find before anyone has unpacked. Both bedrooms, a double and a twin, come with a TV and a view of the church, and the bathroom has a roll top tub as well as a separate shower.
