Trieste is a superb family retreat in the centre of Appledore, a characterful former fishing village, with a stylish, contemporary interior and superb views over the estuary. Three dogs are welcome in this dog friendly house for eight, and the south facing enclosed garden has a private hot tub on its raised deck.
The house is laid out on reverse split levels, so the living space takes the views. Up from the bedrooms, the impressive open plan room looks out over the river to Instow through a floor to ceiling feature window, with soft furnishings, a living flame electric fire and a Smart TV. The kitchen has an island with a breakfast bar and a large dining table with room for everyone, and three dogs settle in among the family once the walking is done.
The bedrooms are all on the ground floor, each with its own TV: two king-size rooms with en suite shower rooms, and two twins, one with its own en suite, plus a family bathroom. The enclosed garden opens from both the hallway and the kitchen, with a raised decked patio holding garden furniture, a charcoal BBQ and the hot tub, and steps down to a lawn where kids let off steam and the dogs join in.
