Once a cattle shed, Ty Byre has been thoughtfully converted into a charming single level cottage, and it now makes a delightful dog friendly home where four guests and two dogs settle easily. Acres of working farmland surround it near Capel Seion, with Aberystwyth and the Cambrian Mountains both close by, and spectacular coastal and country walks await the dogs.

Traditional exposed beams give the living space its character. The pretty lounge area has a smart TV and DVD, the dining area is ideally placed, and the kitchen comes fully kitted out, dishwasher and washer dryer included. Two cosy double bedrooms, each with a TV, share the house with two bathrooms, one en suite. Long before anyone unpacks, the dogs will have picked their corner of the beamed room.

Step outside and the enclosed garden of lawn and patio has seating for a slow breakfast, with shared grounds and a children's play area further down, used by the five properties on the site. Ty Byre's own private hot tub is the reward at the close of a walking day. By then the dogs are asleep, and the farm goes quiet for the night.

Aberystwyth, a few miles away, offers its pier, its funicular railway and a beautiful beach, 6 miles from the cottage. Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest has woodland walks, spectacular views and a Red Kite feeding centre to fill a day of dog walking, and further along at Borth the remnants of a submerged forest can be seen.
